When choosing the correct linear guideway for your application, Schneeberger offers a wide variety of products. Schneeberger produce ball and roller guideways in type R and RD both offering particularly smooth-running characteristics. When using these together with recirculating units, you can achieve unlimited stroke.
Type R crossed roller guides and the further developments RN and RNG are available in three quality classes (NQ, SQ and SSQ) and are suitable for operating temperatures from -40° to +80°C. Please note: Only normal quality is offered here with (SQ & SSQ) available upon request.
For medium and high rigidity, the cage-guided roller alternatives of RN or RNG are the best solution, as the offer running accuracy, load carrying capacity and rigidity, and with cage control if required.
For applications with the highest load-bearing capacity, rigidity, and accuracy requirements, we recommend SCHNEEBERGER's needle-bearings guideways type N/O or M/V with cage control if necessary. The principle also applies here: Ball cages move more quietly; roller cages offer greater rigidity and needle cages achieve the highest rigidity.
Type RN
Type RN linear guideway is an enhance version of the type R guideway. It offers the same dimensions, but due to the larger contact surfaces of the guideway tracks it offers a higher performance level. The reduced gap width between the guide rails also provides better protection against contamination.
Type RNG
Type RNG has larger contact surfaces for the guideway track. Compared to R and RN guideways their cross-section is smaller, requiring minimal space and weight-optimization, which offers a decisive advantage in highly dynamic applications.
Type N/O
Type N/O linear guideways are equipped with needle cages and are particularly suitable for high load applications. It also offers the same installation procedure as type R and RN. Compared with similar needle guideways, smaller displacement resistance values are noted thanks to the use of the SCHNEEBERGER composite cage made of steel and plastic.
Type M/V
Type M/V linear guideways is like type N/O but differs in its external dimensions. This rolling guide is also particularly suitable for high loads and is characterized by its low displacement resistances.
