Integrated AMSABS 3L absolute distance measuring system for long axes
The measuring carriage AMSABS 3L with absolute measuring reading head runs over rail butt-joints without loosing the signal.
It is suitable for use in particularly long axes but at the same time has the advantages of absolute measurement.
AMSABS 3L - the product for all lengths - is now possible thanks to the mechanical and metrological precision of the measuring rail assemblies. The special design of the rail joints combined with the AMSABS 3L read head means that the joints can be traversed and measuring axes of any length can be constructed
What is new?
Absolute displacement measurement on particularly long axes - this is only possible with the new developed AMSABS 3L system from SCHNEEBERGER. Referenced once, the measuring carriage is able to permanently transmit the absolute position over the entire length of the measuring axis. Even after switching the power supply off and on again, this is retained.

With MONORAIL AMSABS 3L SCHNEEBERGER provides an integrated absolute distance measuring system especially for the design of long axes with high requests on system accuracy. Mechanically the AMSABS 3L is based on the SCHNEEBERGER roller guideway MONORAIL MR. The particular realization of the rail butt joints in combination with the AMSABS 3L reading head enables to run over joints and to build absolute coded measuring axes of any length. For the controller the absolute interfaces SSI, SSI+1Vpp and Fanuc are available with different cable lengths.
